Do you believe in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is a fundamental part of western society and many people matured using this type of magical icon. Recently I came upon the notion that Santa represents an original archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is identified as an inherited memory represented inside the mind by a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
While seeking for these symbolic images with this dear old man I saw that which Santa Claus stands for can also be used to motivate us in creating to the new year. I see him like a fun-loving guy that literally brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes be realized. During this season we have been full of expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment of being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, along with the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I realize that santa pictures reflects several archetypes. He is visible inside the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as to assume that a much better day lies ahead. He or she is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith along with the trust that most will likely be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not really in the exercise of power which is the motive, although the drive to bestow care on those who require it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He is about giving to others fulfilling their needs. And then he fails to require anything in exchange except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He is apparently an effective guy, settling on who receives a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. Whenever we are perfect and in case we feel, Santa will make sure we receive everything we want.
An important aspect of Santa’s story is the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney through the touch of his nose in addition to his yearly trek world wide. And on top of that, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and want to all, one child’s heart at a time. Santa is the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to get new methods of dealing, being and succeeding.
While we are creating our dreams, our visions, and our options for 2010, let’s all make sure to use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you have chosen and after that more clearly defined your alternatives in creating your 2010 Journey, make use of this strategy to shift your beliefs and allowing of that that you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from a grownup part of looking to force, worrying over and wondering how things will alter, to the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. An integral part of the ability of Allowing is always to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to open to the Infinite Probabilities of the Universe.
Then too, we can easily liken Santa’s management skills to your universal manager. Is it possible to envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, in just one night? And on time and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe are capable of doing for us, whenever we transform it to God/Source. Inside the book “Ask & It Is Given” one of several Proven Processes is catchusanta it up to the manager. While we set our goals, it’s like delegating to some Universal Manager. And as we take a step back, and permit the Universe set things into position, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not stopping choices, we’re merely turning over all the information and creating our choices.
I urge you to target giving onto your Universal Manager everything you are feeling you must do in this holiday week. You’ll believe it is amazing that as we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve performed this personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by each of the chores I feel I have to do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, although some just don’t seem very important. I’ve had times when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to perform several of the baking. I’ve learned to simply accept help and reply having a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in all elements of life, not only the holidays. Legislation of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that should eventually bring me my desires, Now.
